Born Jelena Noura Hadid on April 23, 1995 in Los Angeles, California, she was the eldest of three children by real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and his second wife, the former model and television personality Yolanda Hadid; her sister, Bella, was also a successful fashion model. Gigi Hadid began modeling as a toddler, appearing in layouts for Baby Gap before cutting short her career to focus on her education.
